Mambo flips unstable

Post by dsmtuned » 11 Jan 2019, 14:51

Hello,

My son's Mambo is really unstable and will crash after pressing the "flip" buttons. For some reason it cannot recover from a flip. It seems to fly well besides the flips.

Any ideas?

Ideas:
- newest firmware (3.0.26)?
- props: damaged, bent, ...?
- battery: full flight time possible after charging 100%?
- drone starts flip correct (side, front, back) and then crashes or no flip beginning at all?
- flat trim made?
- tried to reset?

Thanks for the ideas.

It has the newest firmware.
The blades do have some small dings and probably aren't as straight as stock.
Yes it completes a fill flight time after charging 100%
The drone flips in the correct direction (and goes the in the direction as commanded), but it's unable to recover afterwards and falls to the ground like a feather. It's trying to right itself, but it can't manage.
How do you do a flat trim?
I tried resetting everything to the factory settings with no luck.

Thank you.

Welp, I figured out the problem. I had the, "Hull," setting to Off. I didn't realize that the bumpers are called hulls.

So with the Hull setting off, the drone couldn't properly calculate flip dynamics. :) All good now!
