Flying at a neighbours

Post by asmith61 » 06 Nov 2018, 18:11

Hi
I was asked by my neighbour if I would fly my drone over his property and do a little bit of filming which I did,he wanted me to email it over to him but the file was to big to send, what I did in the end was put it on a SD card so he could take it off he was really happy with the video :D

My question is what is the best way to do this in the future?

Also I have seen some great videos on you tube of people’s drone flights I was wondering if some one could give me some information on how to share flights :D

King regards Alby

Here's a number of ways to send large files..
https://www.google.com/search?source=hp ... 04PDf98-vA

If you have your videos on You Tube, just right click on the video (in YouTube) select " Copy Link Address"
Then paste that into your e-mail to the person. They should be able to just click on the link to view it. ( View only, not copy for other uses.)

Could burn the large files to a blank DVD, they are cheaper than sd cards.

Hi tommy
Thank you for your reply :D

What I do at the moment is as my laptop is small and has very little storage I use a external storage (passport) and save my flights in a folder, and I am getting quite good at this flying lark

I fly using either my I phone or my I pad in my big parrot sky controller when using my I phone I have the parameters turned down quite low I find for me better when filming in between trees etc like what I did round my neighbours, but on my iPad I have everything turned most of the way up for filming in open areas etc.

I am loving my BB2 it is a great drone and lots of fun and I must ad I am also loving this forum lots of very helpful people like your self, I learn something everyday just reading other people’s posts and answers.

I will have a look at using Dropbox and see if I can maybe post something on you tube as this is something I have never done or know how to

If you do not want to save files and just send them you can also use https://wetransfer.com A really great and free service to send huge files. (Its free for sizes smaller than 2 GB)
