Flying the Rolling Spider with a gamepad

Post by rangercaptain » 02 Nov 2014, 04:27

Like the AR drone, I wanted to fly my mini with a gamepad instead of the phone. I use a wired logitech f310 in x mode connected to my note 2 with an OTG cable. I use usb/bt joycenter app to make the screen touches. It's a nice way to fly the mini. Has anyone found another way to do this?

Hello,

I'm about to release my first app for the Rolling Spider Mini Drone. Among other cool features, it will support every MFI gamepad controller with extended layout.

PS4 Contoller via Bluetooth

1. Pair your PS4 controller using the steps in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlEtMpfPymA
2. Open the Parrot Freeflight Mini app, hit skip at top right, then back arrow top left next screen
3. Then select the contoller icon and select the wireless game controller
4. Hold the takeoff/landing screen menu item, then hold controller button x button
5. Hold the auto takeoff/landing button screen menu item, then hold the down arrow button on the controller
6. Assign hard left turn to left arrow and hard right to right arrow using the same method (not sure what this did but auto takeoff/land then worked prior it was flipping)
