TBS DISCOVERY BUILD

Post by Shaft » 26 May 2013, 15:26

I have been planning this build for well over a month now and have gone through many little changes to my original parts list, posted in an earlier thread.

The parts on the list shaded yellow are what I have now ready to start the build. The rest comes later...

Nice Shaft. I'll be following your build as this machine is the one that I would get as well

Thanks very much for your support guys, I appreciate all of you for the encouragement and always helpful input, cheers...

I managed the soldering with great frustration and sheer determination. I think I've got it right now hopefully

A question, I need to install the TBS Core next but haven't brought my FPV gear yet, I need to solder a bridge for 5v or 12v camera and 5v or 12v vtx, any thoughts. My main camera is the GOPRO with internal battery and I was thinking the TBS69 for FPV.

Think the tbs69 is 12v. For the gopro you want 5v. I'm using a core and gopro on my ht flip FPV frame.

Thanks Appelm, I have two leads with my TBS Core, one is a 12V camera lead and the other is a 5V vTx lead so I will configure the Core bridges for them. I can always change it later if I change the setup but for now I just want to mount the Core and tack the tin shield over it so at least it's protected.

Manage to solder the TBS Core voltage selection tabs and mount it on the frame tonight. I'm not the worlds best solderer and my eye sights crap so I will do some conductivity testing tomorrow night before I solder on the tin shield.
