Looks pretty good. The altitude and flight time features are cool. Has anyone used it? If so do you recommend it over the Free Flight app?

I flew for about 10 seconds with it, due to all my batteries being flat from messing around getting my drone to fly with a PS2 controller connected to a laptop today

I'll post up a small review once ive had a chance to actually fly properly with it.

Translated from the German Forum:
Already purchased and installed on the Iphone 4th The first battery is already empty! in front of me Viewed from is the software MUCH better than the solution manufacturer of the AR drone.

Compliments to the developers !

seemed a little hesitant to respond next to free flight. but I think I have a feeling why the ol' blue drone is doing that.

otherwise looks fantastic

going to test it with the orange birdie tonight

I've tried this new app for a couple of minutes indoor flying and it performed very well. The controls were easy to use and seemed more responsive than AR FreeFlight.
A great leap forward !!
It'll be interesting to see how it works outdoors.
Perhaps it will give an insight into why so many Drone flyers are having flight problems and maybe the data can be used in solving these.
I need to find out how to transfer the collected data to my PC where I can save the logs.
Paul
ps. Is it too early to ask why there's no video recording !

From this app shot on the German Board, I the data should be there for you.

You can export the data via iTunes.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I've been playing with this app this morn for an hour or so, and found it very good especially the audio warnings, never noticed before how many warnings i was missing :o The only prob i have found so far is that i cant get the navi data to show, when trying to access the data the program just shuts down. Apart from that minor glitch i think i will be using this app from now on.

Well done nice job :D

Does it connect better than the FreeFlight app ? Alot of the time with the freeflight app I have to restart my iPod Touch 2G iOS4.1 and relaunch the app many times before it actually launches all the way.

I can't get the nav data to show in Drone Control either, just closes. But I was able to export the data to my laptop. I'm spreadsheet dense so if someone could post how to show data in a graph on Excel I would appreciate it.
The camera feature is worth the $3 price to me. I got a couple good pics of how dirty my rain gutters are. Very useful.

When I look under my iphone apps in itunes, I don't see the file sharing section with the new app. I have the latest itunes and my phone has 3.1.3. Am I missing something?

Make sure you scroll to the bottom. I also had trouble initially. I rebooted everything, made sure the iPhone was showing the nav data page from the app and it showed up in iTunes. Haven't had a problem from then on getting it to show. Worth a try.
