Parrot Mambo and Swift Playgrounds

Post by kitchenri » 30 Apr 2019, 18:50

Is anyone else having an issue connecting the Mambo with the Parrot Education Playground in Swift Playgrounds and then running even the simplest of codes? Each time I try to connect, the drone connects momentarily, then crashes the app so that the live view is no longer available. I have a screen recording of what happens, but I'm new to the board and am not sure if I can or should attach it. Firmware is updated on drone. 6th gen iPad, updated to 12.2. Swift Playgrounds is updated to most current update, as well. Thanks.

Hi,

YES! I am seeing the exact same thing. I have no idea why it occurs but it happens with Parrot Education 4.2, if you can find Parrot Education 3.1 it still works in that version. Not sure how you would get that though...

Did anyone find a solution for this?
I am trying to use these with my class and I just upgraded to 4.1 and now can't connect 15 drones ;(

Having the same issue, can't seem to get this working. I'm using Playgrounds v3.0(1038.11) with Parrot Education Swift 4.2 or with Parrot Template Swift 4.2. The FeeFlight Mini application works fine v5.0.1. When I try to connect the first time, I see the drone, but after that initial connection, I never see the drone again.

Any directions would be greatly appreciated.

What makes no sense is -- it works fine on my iPad Pro 12.5 inch -- with all the same versions -- iOS, Swift Playgrounds v3, and the Parrot Mambo activity 4.2.
But won't work with any other iPad I've tried.

It works on iPad Pros no issue. We have about 1500 iPads Air 2 in our district and none of them would connect to the Parrot Mambo drone without downloading the book from below.

https://github.com/Parrot-Developers/Dr ... s/issues/2

And you can download Parrot education book from this link to resolve the issue https://drive.google.com/open?id=1324nu ... Nwcxufs43o
