Online Store Defunct?!

The Parrot Mambo minidrone is full of surprises! Whether you equip it with the Cannon or the Grabber, it'll turn the sky into an amazing playground.

Online Store Defunct?!

Post by JClarkW » 11 Jan 2019, 00:25

I just queried Parrot tech support and was told, "We are sorry to inform you that our online store has decommissioned." I don't know when this happened, as I have never made an online purchase there. (I was hoping to buy spare batteries [660 mAh] and multi-charger for my new Mambo, but now I don't see how.) Does anyone know if this development has implications for official support of Parrot products in general?

It looks defunct here in the US. Very few purchase links left, and the few you can find go directly to BestBuy.com now.

I just tested the Parrot US shop: all articles seem to be linked to Amazon.

For what it's worth, here's what I got from Parrot tech. support with my follow-up question:

"please note that Parrot didn't stop the technical support for the drones, only the sales partially for time being, baring in mind that the Mini-Drones are (end of life) products where they are no longer being manufcatured. [emphasis mine]

"As for the spare parts purchases you can check on online shops such as B&H, Amazon, eBay and Drone Nerds, I have found a battery compatible with the Mambo Drone, please check the link below:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ ... elect.html" [Note that this is the 550 mAh battery!]
