Can you still use the tilt function(accellerometer) of the iPAD to control the drone? or is it just thumbs on the screen control?

Yes, you can also use the dead man button control if you like.

When controlling the AR.Drone with the accelerometer it will only work while pressing a button. (=dead man button)

In a few minutes/hours Drone Control HD 2.3 will hit the app store:
- Wifi signal strength is now represented by a longer bar like the battery and a percentage value.
Moved the emergency button to the upper left side.
New option to automatically start recording when taking off and stop recording when landing.
Interval photos are back! Automatically take photo every 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds.
The control mode choice bar is now finally available for AR.Drone 2. Switch though all control modes with only one touch.
Fixed the "default list" button in the firmware download URL menu.
Fixed german localization issue in the logged alerts feature.
Because the "fast camera switch" can only used with AR.Drone 1 the option is now hidden when using AR.Drone 2.

The latest versions of your apps are not available on the south African app store. Its there anything you can do? Or must I try getting it off the USA store? Sucks because then I have to buy codes to redeem them on that store.
Is there anything you can do Tommy?

Have just purchased the app and find it won't open in landscape, only portrait view with part of screen missing on the right side of the ui.

Tommy I have the same issue on my iPad 3 (3G + WiFi) running iOS 6.1 (10B141) after just updating to the latest a minute ago.Shaft wrote:Have just purchased the app and find it won't open in landscape, only portrait view with part of screen missing on the right side of the ui.
Opens locked to portrait mode, no amount of rotating fixes it.
I know you lock it to stop someone accidently causing it to flip 180 when using it without rotation lock on but I always found it annoying that it would open locked upside down to the way I normally use my iPad (home button to the right in landscape mode).

I'm just checking this issue. It looks like it does not occur on every device. As a workaround you can go into the Fotos/Videos menu and then back again. This will fix the orientation until you restart the app.

I know how it is, the iOS simulator is just a simulator after all!

This is the first use of drone control HD so because I have no photos/videos saved I don't get access...AR.Tommy wrote:I'm just checking this issue. It looks like it does not occur on every device. Good point. On your iPad visit http://www.digitalsirup.com/downloads/o ... ionfix.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and save it to your camera roll. (touch and hold until the save dialog appears)
This will enable your library in Drone Control HD. I will provide a fix as soon as possible.

Did all that, but this is as far as I get. I did allow the app access to my photo library when I installed the appAR.Tommy wrote:Good point. Double check the privacy switch in the settings app -> privacy -> photos -> drone control.
