Ok, so I noticed the habs logo when I was browsing/lurking and decided I had to sign up!
Do you fly anything else? Your username is familiar, maybe from WIMAC?

Hey There,

I am very new to RC. My wife bought this for me as a christmas present and have only been able to use it in my house. I can't wait till spring. I have a HUGE park a block away and plan to fly this baby every chance I get.

I highly recommend buying 3rd party batteries example: Turnigy Nano Tech 1300mAh from hobbyking.com. They cost $11.00 and you get almost 15minutes of flight time. I want to order 2 more batteries and also buy a new charger. The stock charger in my opinion is okay but I rather buy a better charger that can charge and balance faster.

Let me know if you are interested in placing an order and we can split the bill on the shipping. Also when you order from Hobbyking.com, they indicate on the package a lesser amount so you don't pay duty.

Anyway, Let me know

Dante1

ps. never been on WIMAC. I've had this nick for almost 20 years now.

Excellent. The guy selling me my drone is supposed to ship with two stock batteries, so I'm not sure I need to order any more just yet. A faster charger, perhaps a dual might be nice.
When spring hits it might be fun to try a dogfight in that big park!

w1ngz & dante:

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but came across it while browsing! I'm also in Montreal (West Island) - have you guys found any great locations for flying?

Why aren't you guys flying outdoors?
I'm planning to be in Montreal in November... I was gonna try to get some flight time up there as well.

We are flying outdoors! I took the drone up for a spin over at Lakeside Park this afternoon - made for some good flying without trees in the way!

it would be great to organize a meet up sometime for montreal pilot and fly our drone together... ;)
