Parrot 2.0 won't lift

Post by iDre » 12 Aug 2017, 20:21

My parrot 2.0 has been working great all summer but all of a sudden, it now won't lift. I didn't crash it and it was working fine before so I have no idea what happened. I did a reset and made sure all the ribbon cables are plugged in correctly with no success. When I plug the battery, the four props go through their regular check and then all 4 lights turn green. I also have a green light underneath. When I press to take off, the drone lifts about 2 inches off the ground and then tries to hover but is very erratic. I can make the drone move around a bit with the left button. Pressing up on the right button does nothing. If I press down, the drone will go to the floor. Do you guys think I need to replace the nav board?

The propellers are EOL that they lost the pitch to produce lift off power. AR Drone/2.0 uses filmy propellers. Shit likes this can happen. Go replace them. :|

Now that you say it, the props do feel kinda soft. Maybe since I left it in the back of my car and it got really warm it may have messed up the props. Im gonna put the originals on there again and test it out. Thanks for the advice!

Replacing the props fixed the problem. Once I took the faulty ones off, I could see that they were sagging downwards. Thanks again!
