Bebop2 camera freezing

Post by Tsarkoff » 20 Jan 2017, 10:28

Hi, Everyone!
I recently traveled to Austrian Alps with Bebop2 and found out that it's camera works bad in low temperatures. The picture gradualy goes vague/blured as its getting cold. At first I thought that it happened because of the humidity. But the lens was clear. Did anyone face the same?

Same here. Also will be going to Alps in June.

Contacted Parrot - they told me that it is not designed to be flown in temperatures other than >10C and <35C. They fucked up and couldn't fix the camera, so we have no other choice as strap another camera on top of the drone when flying in cold temps. :(

That sucks.. I did not know that :(
I live on Austrian Alps and if I would have better searched probably i would have bought a different drone but that can maybe explain the poor quality (compared to last month) of my videos.. TBH I had a bad crash and I've originally thought that that's was the root cause but now I feel kinda relieved. A little disappointed but relieved
