DX8 Settings

Post by therealboss » 17 Aug 2013, 09:12

Is there a way to enter setting into the DX8 so it will do any of the following:-

1) If drone control signal is very weak, before it looses connectivity the DX8 will auto RTH.

2) Get DX8 to sound alarm when battery on drone is less than 15%

3) Absolute Control like in free flight. (twice now drone has gone long way out and when I attempted to bring it back cos I couldn't see the direction it was pointing in I sent it further away until I lost control).

4) Is control signal is lost drone will auto RTH when GPS is fitted.

5) DX8 display altitude and heading on screen.

My setup as follows.

AR Drone 2
QuadMod Pro + GPS
Cable Tie Mod
Removed hull sticker

Not without coding the necessary instructions into the Mirumod source.

In order to know voltage levels, you need a telemetry module attached to your receiver.
3) Absolute Control like in free flight. (twice now drone has gone long way out and when I attempted to bring it back cos I couldn't see the direction it was pointing in I sent it further away until I lost control).
Nope, needs an accelerometer and a compass on the control device.
4) Is control signal is lost drone will auto RTH when GPS is fitted.
See #1.
5) DX8 display altitude and heading on screen.
See #2. I don't know the DX8's telemetry capabilities, but I've only seen references to this in FPV on-screen displays.
