Now available, Landing Caps

Post by blorincz » 15 Jan 2013, 15:50

Upgrade to a softer landing...

These rubber landing caps come in a set of 4 and fit directly onto the legs of the AR.Drone. Slide them on and you instantly get a softer landing. They help absorb the impact and reduce shock to the central cross. You also get approximately .75" (19mm) of additional ground clearance that can help if you take off / land in grassy areas.

Landing caps cover the lower part of the motor and electronic board, helping keep away debris that may kick up on take offs and landings. Put them on and take them off as necessary. Weighing only 3 grams, there is no negative impact on flight characteristics.

Set of 4 only $9.99.

Just a tip, when posting new products can you post their weight in grams?

Does make a difference to some of us, every single gram saved helps!

Good tip DaZa! I will update my post. I should have known to include the weight on these. The first thing I did when I got the samples was fly with them to ensure there were no negative effects on flight characteristics, before I had them made.

Definately, if they turn out to be lighter than my cable tie ones I'd consider switching.

I need some sort of extra support on the landing gear but don't want to add too much weight.

The picture does not show it covering the electronic board, just the feet. Maybe another angle photo showing that part? thanks.

Landing caps don't cover the ESC board... Just the feet and the bottom half of the motor.

I've sold probably 800+ sets, they are very popular and save damaging the feet on the drone if landing on rough terrain.
Nice one Bob!
