DroneTec QuadMod GPS v2 availability and details

I posted the message below on the DroneTec thread a few days ago. I recognize having to charge for the re-programming service was not ideal for customers, nor was it really something I preferred to be doing. So, I have come up with a way to ease the pain for Drone-Mods.com customers who choose to purchase the GPS v2 add-on now, before return to home (RTH) functionality is available.

If you choose to buy now, I will swap your existing QuadMod out for a new one with RTH included, for free. The only cost you will incur is shipping your unit back to me. Once we receive it, your new QuadMod with RTH will be shipped out the next business day.

The GPS v2 add-on will be available on Drone-Mods.com next week for $104.99.
Drone-Mods.com will have the QuadMod GPS v2 in stock very soon. PM or email me if you think you might be interested. As Steve mentioned QuadMod's units will need to be re-programmed once RTH is available. For Drone-Mods.com customers there will be a nominal fee for re-programming (est $20), but the turnaround time will be much quicker than sending your QuadMod to the UK, and will cost less than paying for shipping to and from the UK.

Hi sebasuke, I have added shipping to the Netherlands. I have to do a little research on each country I support for shipping and just did that for the Netherlands. You should be good to go.

New Product: UltraFlightâ„¢ High Performance Gears

Post by blorincz » 13 Jan 2013, 16:46

I am happy to report Drone Mods is now an authorized distributor for UltraFlightâ„¢ high performance pinion and spur gears for the AR.Drone. Made from a stronger material and lighter than the stock gears, these will reduce wear and last much longer. They were designed to increase airflow and make for more stable flight. Available in in black and orange. The orange gears match all the stock outdoor hulls and look great.

Avaialble now, check them out!

Dude, start a suggestions thread for suggestions on the site and what to stock etc.

One thing I thought of when visiting your site today was to mark each of your products as being 1.0 or 2.0 or both compatible. That way users know if a mod can be used with the 1.0 drone or both. There is still a lot of 1.0's out there and their owners want bits!

Now how to explain the purchase of a GPS module? :)

I actually thought of doing that, but I was concerned about how it would come across to some people. I may still do it at some point.

Another great idea DaZa! Thank you. I will add a compatibility section on every product listing so it's clear to people which drone version it works with.

Looking good Mav! Glad you like them. Amazing how much they stand out. They actually help me spot the drone in the sky better. Added bonus.
