What Joystick?

Post by Fred72933 » 25 Jun 2014, 07:11

I just got a new Galaxy S 5.

What joystick would work best with it and ARDrone Flight Pro?

I use a PS3 in a GameKlip, but also have a SnakeByte iDroid and MogaPro.

Don't Samsung sell their own gamepad now?

I have not seen one, but then I haven't looked.

So, just about any Bluetooth joystick will work with ARDrone Flight Pro?

Pretty much.
PS3 isn't standard bluetooth so has to be used wired, unless you have a Sony / Asus.
Moga needs to be used in USB HID mode, as I support standard USB gamepads.

Using the MOGA controller and loving the control with it. It has a built in phone mount which I love. The controls are very reactive with almost no lag. I can control the AR much better then with the phone and am really enjoying it. Now I am trying to figure out all the settings.

hey

Hi all, i'm a noob in this forum..
I'd like to ask you a question.

I have AR 2.0 parrot Drone and would use it with a gamepad cause you know, sometimes touchscreen is not so 'reactive'.

For this reason i bought a samsung gamepad (i have a samsung device..).

On forum i read that only 'ARDRONE Flight pro' android app is compatible with it.

So i bought it..

But when it went into setting in order to set properly gamepad commands...only the analogic left and normal buttons were working.
Right one and the other one on the left (the lower one) are not recognized.

How you fixed this problem?

So fact that samsung gamepad is compatible with this app is a lie?

Other app and gamepad to use drone using camera and mobile device?

thanks

At a guess you haven't actually gone into the Gamepad mappings and configured the gamepad...
I haven't got a Samsung gamepad, but from the pictures, it appears that the top left control is a DPAD, so not analogue. The analogue joysticks appear to be the bottom left and right.

So select the various yaw, height, pitch and roll Joystick settings under Gamepad Mappings and then use the axis that you want to map on the analogue sticks.
