DronePlanner
Hi everybody,
I was wondering, if it's possible to use the DronePlanner app to make a flight plan.
Obviously using the GPS module connected to the drone.
Thanks.

Re: DronePlanner
Drone Planner uses a different interface, I think. Whatever ArduPilot is, we don't have it.

I was actually asking pippofilthrangercaptain wrote:Er, yeah, oops. Droidplanner

Anyway, DroidPlanner uses mavlink, which AR.Drone does have. It does work with ARD, you can see the HUD, upload/download flight plan etc. I didn't try to fly it though, only tested on the ground.

Re: DronePlanner
can you expand on this?pawelsky wrote:It does work with ARD, you can see the HUD, upload/download flight plan etc.
I tried this the other day, I've used droidplanner and droidplanner 2 with my ArduPilot. Which version did you use, and what were your connection settings, I tried using UDP and port 5556 or 5554 but i just kept getting "connection lost"
Thanks!

DroidPlanner v1, UDP default settings, ARD firmware 2.4.7+ (we are not talking about ArduPilot here)redparchel wrote:Which version did you use, and what were your connection settings, I tried using UDP and port 5556 or 5554 but i just kept getting "connection lost"

Awesome! Thank you. I was clearly trying too hard.pawelsky wrote:DroidPlanner v1, UDP default settings, ARD firmware 2.4.7+ (we are not talking about ArduPilot here)
thanks for checking but ya I'm trying to use it with my ARD. Figured it'd be a cool option since I was familiar using the software with my ardupilot plane.

Re: DronePlanner
Hi Everybody!
So, I've not understood very good... is it possible to make fly AR Drone with Droidplanner? In case positive, which set up I need to perform to do this?
Thanks,
Fabio

According to the developer's website
Sounds like NO to me.Droidplanner is a Ground Control Station (GCS) Android app for UAVs running Ardupilot software.
