Game hint: Don't get too greedy with the number of targets. If the kill you, you don't get the time / accuracy bonus and you are wasting a lot of credits.

Try to select only as much targets as you are able to destroy.

Hey Tommy, have you tested Target Hunter with 1.51 yet. I've updated both my drones, and they fly great so I don't really want to go back to 1.46 in FW. But I would like to buy your game.

OK, Target Hunter.. thoughts.

I had time after work to give this a shot. So I stuck up 4 of the included stickers on poles around the place. Well lit area, lots of room to fly.

It really had problems identifying the targets. Occasionally it would light one up, but just as soon it would lose track of it. In some cases I flew right up within inches of the target and it still wouldn't recognise it.

In the end we tried holding stickers in front of the camera, and they'd intermittently show up, but nothing like the demos would have you believe.

I think it's more indicative of the camera resolution. I really think better algorithms are going to be needed to make the AR part of this product (the drone) shine.

I've played another AR game (with the iPhone, not the Drone) which had you print out a pattern of 6 big black dots on A4 paper. That worked really well and even recognised hand drawn dots.

Perhaps some custom target patterns would work for the drone?? Or bigger images? I might try printing some orange and blue A4 sheets and see how they go tomorrow. Here is the word doc if anyone else wants to test this idea:

For a good detection daylight is the best, do not try to lit up target stickers and use only the original stickers (horizontally) or the outdoor hull. I also tried recreating them with no success. Normal printers are not able to print those neon flashy colors.

Hopefully Parrot will sell the stickers separately. At the moment they can only be purchased with the indoor hull spare part.

Yes, firmware 1.5.1 is save but one should disable "adaptive video" in free flight settings first. I did submit an update for this issue already and it will be available soon.

The app was picking up a variety of other orange things like safety flags, so I'm surprised you say it wont recognise other printed items. Anyway, I'll test it myself when I get a chance, our printers can do some pretty intense colours.

Oh, you got me wrong. I also had a flower in our living room and even a fish (lol) that got picked from time to time, but the tracking did not work good enough for them.

It would be great if you can provide a tutorial to recreate (or even sell) target stickers.

It might be work looking at the neon coloured electrical tape that can be found in auto electrical shop.
The other bonus is that they come in a huge variety of colours and they have a sticky back.

Sweet idea. Please try to get the same size as the original stickers from Parrot. Some future apps may rely on the size for distance calculations etc.

Subscribed... curios to hear neon tape results. Will likely be the thing we're missing.

Looks like a trip to target this weekend ')

Hey guys,

I just downloaded Target Hunter and played it a few times in my living room. lighting from outside was pretty good. But for some reason on both apps made by you, A.R. Tommy (Target Hunter and Drone Escape), my screen is flushed with neon pink. The targets are still picked up, but I can not differentiate any objects when looking at the screen. I did just download the new firmware for the drone, has anyone else had this problem?

On my other apps the screen comes up normal.

I think you have to disable adaptive video as recommended previously: Yes, firmware 1.5.1 is save but one should disable "adaptive video" in free flight settings first. I did submit an update for this issue already and it will be available soon.

Picked up some neon orange and green "duck" tape from target today.

It works really well.
