Confused newb

OK, so after reading about the absolute control tilt fiasco I am confused as to which ios app I should be using with my V2.0 drone?
I downloaded about 6 from parrot. WTF?
Why can't they have ONE app do we really need 3 apps and 3 BS games!

Here is what I got from Parrot support yesterday (jun 25). I deleted all the other Parrot apps and only put this one in and it worked:

Dear customer could you please delete the application AR Free flight world from your mobile or tablet and download it again.

Disconnect/ Reconnect the WiFi mobile from your mobile or tablet.

Put the battery full charge on your Drone 2.0 and push the "Reset" button four seconds , take off Drone battery and replace it.

Connect the WiFi mobile on your Drone and start the application Ar free flight world and active joystick mode and absolute control.

Active the geocalisation on your mobile.

OK, this has been posted on the Parrot Blog:

-------------------

Freeflight App is back on iTunes! Get the free App

Dear pilots,

Today iTunes has returned Freeflight on the App Store. Get the App!

Freeflight is the free and official App to pilot your AR.Drone 2.0 with all features activated on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Freeflight is to be used instead of AR.Drone, FreeflightWORLD and FreeflightUS. If you bought the Director Mode in-app purchase on one of these 3 apps, please contact us here : http://www.parrot.com/hotline" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Enjoy your flights !

Team Parrot

Enjoy your flights!

I suggest that you have AR.Drone and FreeFlightWorld (or FreeFlightUS depending where you are) but. Not the 'new' re-released FreeFlight app.

So, I now have 2 AR.FreeFlight apps installed!
V2.4.3 with Director mode
V2.3.0 without Director mode

See the Free Flight is Back thread for more info.

Now I too am in the same boat with two FreeFlight apps

V2.4.3 with Director mode last updatedJune 15, 2013
V2.3.0 without Director mode last updated June 24, 2013

What a mess. I am having second thoughts about Parrots capabilities and commitment.
