Yes, this is a relatively new feature and would be also possible to implement in Drone Control. As far as I know it is already on the to do list.
I just spent an hour googling and sifting and lurking to find this answer. I was starting to feel a bit thick as well! Is there an ETA on this, Tommy? I'd like to remove the Parrot apps and move entirely to Drone Control if possible.

Yeah I know, I've got a programming background myself and ETAs are vague beasts at best. Hence my puzzlement about why I even asked... but, then again, I think that was an early morning post. Brain not finished booting. :)

Please note: the 60Beat Gamepad controller uses the microphone to communicate with your device. When using Drone Control with iOS 7 and it asks you about accessing the microphone - you have to allow access, otherwise the 60Beat Gamepad will not work.

Tommy...any plans on integrating maps and point&click control like in FF?

Suggestion...to make it better than FF!
1) Make it similar to how QGround Control works.
Adding multiple waypoints (even beyond wifi range)

2) An option to overlay video onto map. Or at least exit back to video mode while autonomsly moving to WPs.
Currently in FF, the drone will stop when you go back into video mode.

Anyway....just thought that would give your app a huge edge over FF.

Not sure at the moment, to me there are some important open questions about liability issues - especially when it comes to flying beyond the wifi range. QGroundControl is free and provided "AS IS" this kind of disclaimer would not possible in a paid app like Drone Control.

Update to 2.6.1 is available:

*Fixes a bug that prevented the youtube videos to play.

*Fixes a bug that forced the control mode to "RC Mode 2" after unplugging the 60Beat controller or after deactivating autonomous flight.

Drone Control 2.7 is live:

Support for the new iOS7 MFI gamepad controllers. You will have the best experience using "extended layout" controllers. (With 2 additional analog sticks)

Fixes a bug which could cause the app to appear unresponsive or even crash in certain situations.

Fixes an issue with the length of some "did you know" hints.

Pairing to the MAC address is no longer supported in the latest AR.Drone firmware(s). It looks like Parrot removed the option silently and since pairing with an unsuported firmware version results in a "control link not available" error, I had to remove the option also. You can always reset your AR.Drone to unpair the device.

This version allows you to get rid of the emergency button. Please consider this is a pro feature! Disabling the emergency button is not recommended. Also note that, if your AR.Drone goes crazy for whatever reason you can grab it carefully and turn it upside down, it will shut off the motors immediately.

The location field in the navigation data file will be prefilled on the basis of your current GPS position. You can still edit it afterwards.

iOS 7 conformance.

Hello,

the power edition is "only" a bundle with an casual AR.Drone 2, the MFI gamepads also work with the Power Edition.

Regarding the max altitude I just wrote the how to in a decent thread, because I have no idea where the post is: http://www.ardrone-flyers.com/forum/vie ... 78&start=0

Hi all!

I have a question. I have installed Drone Control in an iPhone 5 and now I am going to purchase a MFi gamepad (Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i). Can I configure the action assigned to each button? If not, do you have a relation between each button in the gamepad and what it does? I don't want to test the buttons while flying.... (it could do a Flip or land or something...)

Do you have this info? Has anybody test this App this this gamepad?

Thanks! Great App!
