Finally the update for Drone Control HD is live!

Adds support for the new iPad Retina display.

Adds compatibility for Parrot's new AR.Drone 2

Adds the ability to record and share videos. The recorded videos are smooth and will look good even on the "old" AR.Drone.

Adds "fast camera switch". The ability to ignore the picture in picture camera views. With this option you can quickly switch from front to bottom camera without switching through the picture in picture modes.

Adds support for Parrot's AR.Drone Academy.

Adds new flight animation including front and back flip. (flip control only for AR.Drone 2)

Fixes issues with timeouts while downloading firmware version.

Please Note, the first start of Drone Control 2.0 may take longer if you have a lot of photos in the photo library of Drone Control.

Drops support for taking interval photos.

I highly recommend you to upgrade your AR.Drone at least to firmware 1.10.10. Older firmware version are no longer fully supported. But with all the sweet features, there should be no reason to stick with an older version.

Is there anyway to make the wifi range meter more sensitive? Perhaps add more bars, so the range is more exact?

Version 2.0.3 is live.

Adds time sync: when connected to the AR.Drone the current date and time is set. So your USB recordings will have the correct timestamp.

This update addresses a rare issue where the app says it is not connected to the AR.Drone even though it is already connected.

Woot! Just got your app today and will get a chance tonight for a bit of flying. Did a quick take off indoors to check on the connection and option screens. Looks great! Cheers.

Lesodell, yes indeed a stupid bug in the current version. Just hold it the other way until it is fixed. (the other landscape mode)

Yes that would be possible.

Ahh, thanks for this. That happened with me as well (with a 2.0 Drone) so I've been using the "non-HD" Drone Control since I never thought to rotate my iPad 180 degrees to check the "other" landscape. Too funny.

I did get a chance to play with drone control HD and it was great. No issues with control, USB recording, and flips! Think I may use this exclusively now. Nothing cooler than backflips. Too fun!

The app seems to keep crashing on me. It tends to happen mostly when not connected to my drone. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's a new iPad with wifi that I'm using.
