My Drone Mods, McGiver Mod, LED's GoPro Mount

Post by richardjbrown » 30 May 2012, 08:29

Well today i sat down and spent the day pulling apart my drone and rebuilding it.

It fly's really well. Will post a vide when the wind drops and i get some good footage.

Changes i have made.

Mounted LED Headlights and under light
GoPro mounted to the front of the drone hull with rip grip (industrial grade)
McGiver Mod cut into the hull with the antenna hidden out of the way under the plastic.
Soldered the LED Power supply for the switch direct to main board.
So McMod and LED's are Installed not just taped on anymore.

Richard,
Nice Job.
From the pictures it looks like the front camera is entirely gone. I know that even with a loose camera cable it will not boot up to green lights. What did you do to remove the camera and still be able to boot up?

Running latest firmware. no front camera needed. i did have troubles with older firmware and it doing what you said. staying red lights on all motors. but had another main board loaded latest firmware on it. and runs fine, with the mac mod as well. so not sure what i did right.
