It's in the info of the youtube video if you go to the video on youtube itself. I also just put it on the first post of the thread. I must have forgot.

With the idevice connected you don't have as much control with the RC mod.

Here is some more footage taken from Drones in the air, while being flown with the MacGyver mod. Man the MacGyver really makes the AR Drone awesome!

Hey I shot another video with the old GoPro mounted to the Drone - controlled by the MacGyver RC mod of course. This was a test to see if I could lose some of the vibration causing jello in my image.

I'll get the Youtube version uploaded asap: http://vimeo.com/chadfish

I buy this mod few weeks ago, and I’m very happy with it, but since yesterday I’m having trouble with the transmitter losing connection with the drone when is just few yards away, in about 40 yards away the drone is doing an emergency landing then I have to walk closer and take off again.
Please guys I need help to fix this issue, thanks in advance!

Is any part of your camera mount touching the shell? It needs to ONLY touch the base plate. If any part of it is touching the hull you will get excessive vibrations. The base plate is dampened already so that should reduce the rolling shutter issue.

I just installed this mod today and lost connection with my drone prob 150-200 feet in the air. Broken central cross, two bent motors, bent props, broken base plate, bent shaft.

I have parts on order but I don't know if I can trust this RC mod in the future. The seller is unsure what happened as well.

Troubleshooting?
After rebuilding my central cross post crash my MacGyver mod does not work.
Upon power up on MacGyver board Green LED steady, red LED on top steady
Bottom red LED steady nothing happens.
I have cycled power, reset drone, cycled power on xmtr.
Drone works with iTouch WiFi but not with MacMod

Any hints

Tnx :?

White wire on usb plug to drone was broken
some micro soldering and seems to work
got to make it tight for flight

I guess the white wire is signal

Tnx
