Thanks for sharing!

How did you set it up?
- Force the drone into infrastructure mode (to connect the AP)
- Make sure that the drone got 192.168.1.1 as IP (for iphone/ipad compatible apps)

Please some more info, ive got a openwrt hacked "FON" AP that I plan to use for the exact same purpose .. But ive just had my drone for a few days and Im still collecting info on how people has done it.

Many thanks for the info, and I hope you can add some more on the thread :-)

Happy droning!

So this allows the drone to go that high? The ultra sound sensors don't get affected?

Nice video mate. Looks like you connected a Lipo directly to the router! What is the required input for your router? Does your Lipo exactly match the required voltage input?

Hi, the router accepts 7V-14V - tested. My lipo gives something around 12.5V with no load - the router will run reliably at a voltage of 11V after 4 hours (LiPo Hyperion 2500 / 3S)

The original adapter for the router is 12V 1A.

How high did you go? I'm always afraid to go above 15 feet because of the auto ascent issues. Doesn't the ultra sound get all out of sync if you go above 20 feet, regardless if the altitude limiter is off?
