Thanks in Advance!

You won't be able to upgrade GPS firmware, the rest you pretty much will not notice.

Configuration seems OK. You need to wait longer (initial lock usually takes more) and of course outdoors, with clear visibility of the sky.

From another try to catch satellites right now. (30min) clear sky, no buildings, no trees, not even wifi nets.
:| dont even know what to do next with it to improve it or discover where is my trouble.
Will try later again.

IT WORKS!!!
I resolder the wires according to the following diagram
Image
My CP2102 flashed all diodes (diode before Rx rarely blinked by Sirfdemo send command).
Left in the field, clouds, strong wind, but through -3 minutes I had 4 satellites!!
Thank you very much for the idea and support.

Does this mod works with version of FF 2.4.10, Drone Software 2.4.8. I once assembled logger, checked, and postponed for a while. Now I connect it to the drones and drone could not see him. Computer sees logger with modified drivers.

Another stupid question - if I connect to the drone only adapter, drone software identifies him as an GPS? GPS module I now use in a different device.

To some extent, but it obviously won't work until it communicates with the actual GPS.

I found a gps reciever GlobalSat BU-353S4 and had performed all steps described in this topic, but now gps doesnt works.
Wires crossed similar with that scheme
Image

Now my "DIY Flight recorder" recognized by ar.rone soft, but no satellites catched for a long time period.
When it plugged to ar.drone - both RXD and TXD leds blinking periodically.

when I plug device to laptop - it will recognized as Flight Recorder and blinked only RXD. I also map them to com2, 4800.
Sirf Demo cannot connect to him with following report:
"Error.. Cannot create UART handle. Comm port not avaliable or may be in use".

Could anyone help me with troubleshuting?
Can I use some kind of diagnostic on PC to check that gps data recieved by gps? Before flashing I had checked it (inside building) and got an 4 sattelites. Now all time when I wait not any progress yet to catch them.

AR.Freeflight version v2.4.10
AR.DRONE hardware 2.2 Software 2.4.8
Inertial hardware 2.3 Software 5.34
GPS Hardware 1.0 Software 4.0.4-P1

any extra details will be provided if needed.

Hi, where did you get the Unitek Y-2011 hub? I can't find it anywhere, and all other hubs have at least 4 female ports, but i need only two.
Could you tell me where can I get that hub, or reccommend a better one?
