After you get the sr10000 configured to your desktop can you use the repeater away from the setup computer. This would be using a battery to power the
repeater. I am really illiterate concerning repeaters. Thanks.

Yes, that is the idea. It becomes a unit that you can travel with, you, the Drone and the Repeater.
I ordered a battery on Ebay that has a power connector.

I dont have it yet but other that do report it works well for making the whole package portable and wired-free.

Thanks for your quick reply. I just talked to a tech at Amped and he said I would have to be within 70% range for the repeater to work. I don't think I explained it clearly
to him. I stated I would be using Ipad to fly the Ar Drone 2.0. What you are saying is how I thought it works. Further help would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Would a small motorcycle or lawnmower 12v battery with inverter power the sr10000?

You wouldn't really need the inverter as the input is already 12volt... just gadda get the correct connector... motorcycle battery seems a little overkill though... i have a 2300mAh lipo battery that'll run that thing for a couple hours easy

I am new to using a repeater so, am very illiterate about the subject. Anyway I have the SR10000 on the way and going to use it with my Ar Drone.
I have read where many on the forum are using them and I assumed in the field. Amped technician didn't have any idea how they were setting them
up. He said that to his knowledge the repeater had to be near the home router. I have read lots of posts about this. Would someone explain in
simple terms how to do this? Thanks

The whole process takes 10 minutes. The Sr10000 comes with a cd that will set up your repeater. Step by step instructions.. when you get to the step that requires the repeater to scan for which WiFi signal is available ( CPU, drone etc). Have your drone turned on and the repeater will acknowledge it. The ar drone will show up as an option. Once you click the drone as your WiFi signal choice, the repeater will be configured to the drone and stored in the repeater. Take the repeater outside or whereever you want to fly the drone. I put the repeater ontop of my truck and stand 10 feet behind or to the side.. fire up the drone before turning on the repeater. Then use your ios or android device to find the repeater signal and bam! Your ready to fly.. simple!

That looks like basically the same specs as the sr10000 but it's not set up as a repeater

My SR10000 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow! ;)

I am wondering about the Freeflight signal strength indicator.... Does it still work as normal? ..or do you see full bars at all times from the repeater?

With my repeater the signal changes as the DROID travels away. I am not using an amped repeater but I don't see why it would be different.
