This is what I use to balance my batteries: 'Parrot AR Drone 2.0 Battery Balance Charger Socket Adapter Plate'

Those of you that are washing your bearings; Are these bearings the shielded type?

I posted here in The Batteries Topic because of earlier posts on this subject.

Thanks for any replys.

My drone weighs 330g at the moment without battery. I would like to buy a 140g battery for it. Will it still be able to fly with such a battery?

I have a male Mini Tamiya to XT60 adaptor that I could connect it to my accucel 6 with. But I'm worried I might hurt the Parrot battery. I mean I don't see why it wouldn't work. It's still a 3S lipo so it should charge the same as any other lipo as long as I charge it at just 1 amp @ 11.1 volts right? The only problem is I can't balance it. The reason I'm asking is because I have 2 parrot batteries but only one parrot Charger. It would be nice to be able to charge both at the same time. Is this safe?
Hello all,

I have an original Drone (1.0) OEM batteries that have the JST-XH plug which is used in the OEM LiPo balance charger. I have the same question, could I use my Turnigy Accucel6 balance charger with my OEM original Drone batteries (i.e. plug the 4 wire balance JST-XH plug into the side of the Accucel6, and the female mini-tamiya plug into the output of the charger using a male mini-tamiya to female XT60 adapter)? In theory it should work if I do a balance charge at 1.0A @ 11.1v (basically wanting to know if anyone has done this yet and can confirm this works)?

Cheers,
Christian

I balance charge my OEM batteries using adaptor place shown in above post and a iMAX B6 charger and of course an adapter for the mini-tamiya.

Thank you for your help :) I can confirm I've been balance charging my OEM batteries with the Accucel6 successfully. In fact I find it more reliable than the OEM balance charger.

Cheers,
Christian

You can charge any battery with the balance charger assuming they have the conector.

Has for the batteries i used a 1800 mha from ebay user" tomy toys " ad its not heavy and has the correct charge.

Best regards.

Hi,

I've just bought a balance charger (Imax b6) and two batteries - Tera 2500mah 11.1v 20c.
What are the correct settings to charge those batteries using this charger? It says "Charge at 1.3A" on the battery.
Thank you.

Whats the deal with the HD and SD settings does this change anything in the drone to make allowances for the extra weight in heavy batteries?

It should result in a more precise battery level gauge.
