Disco fly away :-(

At CES 2016 Parrot unveiled DISCO a new drone prototype that’s actually a full-blown fixed wing plane similar to the E-Bee sense fly but for end users.

Disco fly away :-(

Post by CrazyPilot » 11 Mar 2017, 01:31

Got my Disco and when out for my first flight, amazing experience. :o
Then dried to fly for a second time because the first flight was only 9 min. But on the second flight I lost connection with the Disco when it got up to 50 meters in the air. I was never able to recover connection and I just waited for it to run out of battery and land, it was making circles over my head for about 20 min. And then it took off to the unknown and I lost it. I guss you call this a fly away? I'm very disappointed :-(
How can this happen???? :-( :-(
Has anyone out there had a fly away with the Disco? :-(

Parrot stuff is something like this. Poor design and unreliable unless a mod. Don't think too much.

Bad luck! I just got back from making my first flight on new Disco........I really made sure to get all updates and checked everything three times!!

Made about 7 short flights and still had 60 % battery, Practiced mostly on landings....tricky until I got the idea.
Need bigger field, one flight I hit low trees at speed, no damage......lucky.

What I learned.....really light on stick to steer, really work low throttle and glide.

Really impressed with flight characteristics. , I recently had a Spark flyaway. Only two days I had it. DJI gave me 100% warranty replacement. Flight records showed malfunction.

Good luck with Parrot.
