Can't connect Mac to drone network

Postby aether » 17 Jun 2016, 04:07

I'd like to telnet into my Jumping Night drone.

I can connect to the network fine from an iPhone 6S, control the drone, etc. My Mac can see the network, but spins endlessly when trying to connect to it. I've tried switching between 2.4 / 5 GHz networks and moving to a lower-interference location, but no luck.

Has anyone seen and solved this problem?

Hello,

are you getting an IP address from the jumping Sumo? If yes which one?

Also make sure that your controlling device does not connect automatically to the network of the drone, otherwise you can not connect with another device.

I finally realized that, even though OSX's wireless status indicator claimed that it could not connect, it was in fact connected all along. My guess is that OSX assumes it's connecting to an AP and won't show a successful connection unless it has internet access.

I had tried pinging it earlier, but was using 192.168.1.1. It looks like the Jumping Night uses 192.168.2.1.

Thanks for the help!
