LED's under Bebop drone frame

Post by zackgt40 » 29 Nov 2017, 02:21

Here are some photos I would like to share of the 4 LED's I installed under my drone. They are very bright both at night and during the day. I was even able to see the drone from about 100' up in the air.

They are wired off of the battery cable and have direct power once the battery is plugged in, so you can use them as running lights without the drone being on.

The dipswitch can even change them individually to blue, white, red and green.

Perhaps I read your post wrong... 4-10 watt strips? 40 watts?

Somebody's gotta point out what this does to the battery life. The entire drone - in flight - draws about 80 watts, and you're adding a 40 watt load to the battery on top of that? What's your max flight time 3-4 minutes?

Here is the link for the LED's I purchased on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017X ... UTF8&psc=1

Please keep in mind you have to disassamble the drone, solder the LED"S to the red/black wires, route them to the front and then hookup to the power supply!
