Re: AR Drone 2.0 WIFI Range

I get maybe 10m max without an extender. With the wifi extender I get 50m that ive tested. As said earlier it depends where you fly, in my neighborhood there is a lot of wifi interference so the distance is minimized.

Re: Modification of AR.Drone 2.0

I think it would work fine. You would need to increase the length of the motor leads, but ive seen all sorts of mods that the drone can still fly with. For the frame I would keep the arms at the same exact angles coming from the body because you never really know what the software could do. But the ...

Re: Ar drone 2.0 with gopro hero 3+ HELP

Yeah it most definitely will. Having to wifi sources transmitting from inches away would screw up your drone pretty bad when trying to fly it. With my gopro I mounted it with foam and checked to see if it was at the angle I wanted, and I just fly it up and hope to get some good shots.

Re: Parrot Flight Recorder flight stabilization ?

It is supposed to increase stabilization as it takes gps coordinates to stabilize it instead of the bottom camera, I have however heard mixed reviews about the flight recorder. However there are forum posts about building a gps but also mixed reviews about it working as well.

Re: AR drone broken prop shaft

Yeah either grind it out and buy new bearings and new shafts, or try to support the bottom of the bearing and hammer it out.

Re: Main board question

I don't think there is a difference between the two? The difference that I know of is that one comes with two larger batteries, a different colored hull, and colored spare props. The internals should be the same. Try a hard reset, and make sure every ribbon cable is fully in, chances are the cable i...

Re: Discontinued and abandoned?

The drone is perfect for experienced flyers and beginners. A plus is you can definitely mod the hell out of it, speaking of mods the first thing I would do is get a range extender. It's the cheapest way to fly farther. You can put lights on your drone, take video, attach video cameras, build or put ...

Re: AR.Drone 2.0 spin 360 deg after take off

When you reset the drone it automatically spins 360 degrees to calibrate the compass. This is a normal thing if you constantly reset the drone. Let it complete the full 360 spin and then it will stop. If it continues to spin check your prop shafts and your propeller orientations.

Re: Hull on/off with GPS unit?

It shouldn't make a difference if you have removed the foil stickers/lining from the sides of the hull. The plastic sides to the hull have a metallic foil backing to them so it would screw with the gps. However if those are removed there should theoretically be no issue since it's just foam. But yu ...

Re: Which Motor Controls What

If you did those tests. Then it is almost confirmed the issue comes from the cross-frame. Go check if it has been twisted or even broken from the internal (centre of the frame, that cross-plastic structure). The only thing that I have to go with it being a motor speed issue is that the central cros...
