Re: Xiaomi Router Extender

I can't find much information on it either. I wish manufacturers supplied more detailed specs on their products so it was easier to compare how they worked and what the benefits are especially for this kind of thing.

Re: Xiaomi Router Extender

Ah ok that makes sense, so 802.11AC wouldn't be of much use then. Just when I was reading about the SkyController I see it uses 802.11AC as well, so I thought there must be a reason they went with it over 802.11N. The more I read up on antennas the more I think the 3C would, like you say, have a bit...

Re: Xiaomi Router Extender

Thanks that's some really good info. The thing I really haven't been able to find any info on is if 802.11ac gives any benefit over 802.11n for this kind of thing? Yeah most people say stick with 2.4gHz and that's what I used with my Sky Controller. Being able to power from a 5v source is definitely...

Xiaomi Router Extender

Hi all, I've been looking at the Xiaomi range of routers as a range extender and have heard people have had good results with the smaller ones but I haven't read much about the others. I've tried to gather some specs of the main ones: Xiaomi Mi WiFi Router Nano (Youth) 100g – 9.5 x 9.1 x 1.92 cm x 9...

Re: Control your AR Drone with Playstation 3 gamepad over Wi

Flying with a game controller is so much better. It is now also working again with iOS devices, have put a topic here: http://www.ardrone-flyers.com/forum/vie ... =14&t=7777

Re: AR Drone with Playstation 3 controller and Blutrol for i

Success! Have had an indoor test flight today and it works amazingly well. Flying with physical controllers feels so much more solid than using the touch screen on an iPhone, haven't noticed any lag at all, feels really responsive. I actually think the iPEGA 9017 controller feels better than using t...

AR Drone with Playstation 3 controller and Blutrol for iOS 7

Blutrol is now working with iOS 7.0.x! http://www.ringwald.ch/cydia/blutrol/ Blutrol lets you connect physical game controllers to your idevice like the Playstation DualShock 3 controller, using bluetooth. I've had it working with both PS3 controller and the iPEGA 9017, only with games but so far so...

Re: FIX YOUR PROPS... this thread will get you flying right!

Hi I'm going to give this a go! Just one question, when you come to balance the props do you do it with the gears and shaft attached as one unit? or just the props by themselves? All the video's I've seen are just the props but I do remember someone saying to do it with the gears and shaft attached ...

Re: Inaccurate altitude height readings

Thanks again, just wanted to make sure this isn't a hardware fault or anything. I'll keep an eye on it during my next flight, but if it's normal so be it.

How to save videos?

This may be an obvious one, but how do you copy videos out of the FreeFlight iOS app onto your computer? I can't seem to find a save option anywhere.

Re: 2nd AR Drone and still weird signal issues

This makes no sense. If that's the case then why do they even advertise they can go certain distances and the main source of control is an iOS device. I know they have Android now but they didn't in the beginning. So no matter what device you use it's unable to fly 20-30ft without losing signal? I ...

Are people finding the GPS gives more stability or less? I'm finding it less stable with mine so fly without it atm.

Inaccurate altitude height readings

I've never taken much notice of the altitude display in the FreeFlight iOS app, but today when I did it was all over the place. The drone was barely 1m off the ground and the app was saying between 3 - 5m. Is it normal for it to be this inaccurate?
