Re: Blade 200QX with Mobius Action Camera

Video shot using the Blade 200QX and Mobius Action Cam with Lego camera mount. Trying to stay over the track rather than flying over the crops!

Re: Blade 200QX with Mobius Action Camera

I'm mostly hovering at the moment rather than doing any 'high energy' manoeuvres, so my times might not be typical. I set the DX6i timer to 6 minutes and then bring the quad close enough to see the LED's when they start to flash. I'm getting 7 to 8 minutes with the 38g Mobius at the moment without w...

Re: Blade 200QX with Mobius Action Camera

I haven't progressed to FPV flight yet - other than with the ARD2 and the iPad, so that is something to look into for the future. I'm not really a 'sport flyer' - although I might get more adventurous over time  The 200Qx is really just another fun quad that I can fly outdoors and has the advan...

Blade 200QX with Mobius Action Camera

Another quadcopter added to the stable, the Blade 200QX :D Out with the Lego to make a camera cradle for the Mobius, works a treat! The 200QX has plenty of power, so carrying the camera isn't a problem. The 2 rods are a spring fit into the hollows of the skids, so really easy to fit and remove. Some...

Re: R/C AR Drone 2.0 Born

It's not really a mod, it's just the Mobius Action Cam mounted under the ARD2 in a simple Lego cradle held on with elastic bands :) There are pictures somewhere here on the forum. Do a search for Mobius and you should find them.

Re: Bad First Test with GPS Flight Recorder

Kyle, Thanks for your comprehensive post. I've been away from the forum for a while due to other distractions but the publicity regarding the new Phantoms and the Bebop has caught my attention :) My ARD2 has a QuadMod RC conversion and it hauls a Mobius Action Cam which gives fantastic video and pre...

Re: New algorithm makes quadrocopters safer

Very clever :D I couldn't see how this could possibly work, but watching the video makes it clear. The drone doesn't keep flying in a stable manner, but does whatever is necessary to achieve 'stability' and maintain height (or a controlled descent) by any means - and if that means spinning on the sp...

Re: R/C AR Drone 2.0 Born

Nice, but the frame captures from the Mobius Action cam blow away those from the drone cam.

Good plan not to fly on the ship, you might have trouble keeping up

Re: R/C AR Drone 2.0 Born

Thanks for your comments there, it's thanks to you that I finally decided to get the QuadMod :D As I understand it, the hover lock only works laterally, not vertically. Having the hover lock on won't stop the drone rising or descending, but it will try to hold it in one position over the ground as l...

Another short edited video shot with the Mobius Action Cam. Not such a nice day, but a bit higher with the QuadMod.

Re: R/C AR Drone 2.0 Born

Great video, not sure I'd be brave enough to fly that far out over the water though! A short edited video of one of my QuadMod flights. UBBbrtG2oQU I've decided that the GPS Flight Recorder doesn't really offer any advantage as I'm now flying with the hover lock off most of the time to prevent the '...

Re: Dronetec QuadMod - RC control for your Drone

A quick flight with the Parrot GPS Flight Recorder (FR). A bit of a pain, because the latest FR firmware flashes the LED almost as soon as you connect power whereas before it didn't flash until there was a GPS lock. So the process was: - DX6i tx on - Connect power to the drone - Monitor drone LED's ...
