Re: New Parrot drone later this year......

I would be curious how the bebop stacks up size wise against the ARD2.

It looks smaller.

Quotes I have read say availability Q4 2014, and pricing between $300-$1000. I'm pretty sure the high end of the range would include the SkyController option.
So it should be available near the end of Q2 2015.

Re: New Parrot drone later this year......

In true Parrot fashion they of course don't announce any sort of date or pricing. What they need to announce specifically is how hackable this shiny new bit of kit is. Because 12 minutes of flight time is clearly in need of being boosted. God only knows what the 2km range could be stretched out to w...

Re: Drone VS. Angry Bees

I cant help but find it a little hilarious until the bees actually down someones quad. In the video the pilot does a bit of a hard landing and the damage shown in the end is related to the landing not the bees as far as I can tell. The hard landing it probably from the distraction of bees following ...

Drone VS. Angry Bees

Not much intersting stuff in modifications lately so I thought I would see if I could cook up a little food for thought... Besides the hogmod, wheel antenna, sports cross and ultraflight props can anyone think of any other durability boosting mod's that that would increase the survivability of the A...

I'm hoping they require minimal balancing. Because they are a stiffer stronger material I'm mainly hope that they wont require straightening.

Re: UltraFlight Blue propellers are in. Discount for members

Just ordered. Excited to test stiffer props.

I'll be curious to see how my drone behaves with these.

Hopefully these will be another winner like the ultraflight gears

Do you think the cross is adding any flight time? http://www.i-drone.me" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; sales@i-drone.me http://www.facebook.com/groups/124555427639033" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(...

Re: ARDrone 2.0 Vertical Cam Upgrade

The benefit of a better down facing camera would be better stationary hover.

However that would really be the only benefit. Instead of a better camera perhaps better optics could be glued to the existing downward camera to improve stationary hover at higher altitude.

Re: Wifi mod gone wrong - HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also prop issues are somewhat magnified by imbalanced weight on the drone. I would suggest you balance/straighten your props before you do too much more troubleshooting.

Re: New Sport Central Cross

The motormounts on the sport central cross seem to be slightly differient shape than the stock. I'm fine with that, however I am curious if there any plan for gear protectors tailored to the sport cross?

Re: Range extender on Helium Baloon

Party supply stores sell both helium and also cheap weather balloon sized balloons 5'+ diameter. Several times in the past I've used a couple of balloons on metered lines with binoculars to determine angular line of sight on a point to point 5.8ghz orthogonal network bridge. The balloons are usually...

Re: Range extender on Helium Baloon

Its not a bad idea. But the trick would be keeping it steady. You would want 3-4 reasonably spaced anchor points keeping your balloon stationary otherwise its really just blowing back and forth in the breeze. Also making everything but the battery as light weight as possible would be key. That way t...
