Re: Still need help
Try balancing your props, check for too much play (thrust) in your bushings/bearings, and last but not least, try trading out your gears/prop shafts and see if the problem follows.

Re: These look like fun...
Oh that's just schweeeeet! Bit expensive compared to other basic frames but hell! I think once I get some experience with my new quad I just might have a serious look at that. Dunno if I would want to dunk my Turnigy 2836's... surely that can't be good for the motors, especially with high current r...

Re: Anyone Following This?
Please don't get me started on US politics. I can't stand these damn liberals and their undying need to regulate everything.
I think Ben Franklin said it best:
“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.â€

Re: how 2 protect exposed circuit board/gears from sand @bea
Yeah, you could always put some more conformal coating on the circuit boards, just don't cover the MOSFETs, they need cooling

Re: how 2 protect exposed circuit board/gears from sand @bea
I'd be more worried about bearings getting eaten apart more than anything else. Electronics can take sand. You should see some of the stuff I remanufacture at work.

Re: Control Issues after 'Scubamod'
I'll re-mount it so it's more or less 'suspended' from the cross, but with a peice of soft foam wedged between it, pressing with light pressure. That should eliminate any/all vibrations.
I highly doubt its the compass, and I haven't tried a full reset beyond changing the battery yet

Control Issues after 'Scubamod'
So today I went to work - hacking away at my drone, removing every bit of unnecessary weight, in something I like to call 'The Scubamod' after our very own 'ScubaSteve'. It ended up looking a lot like 'ScubaSteve's 'Xenomorph' Drone, minus the Gopro and altimeter of course. After I had completed mod...
