I updated the firmware to the latest version 2.4.7

If my DIY flight recorder disconnects and reconnects I need restart ARDrone for recognize GPS to again.

Lose more satellite signals with this latest firmware

I'm back to 2.4.1 and all is well again

I struggled to find the clear heat shrink with 50 mm in diameter.

Where I can buy translucent orange?

Still does not get satellite. I tried searching satellites SIRFDEMO (SiRF mode @ 115200) everything works fine but does not find satellites.

I've done it!

Now change VID / PID and connected to the ARDrone and I recognize but can not find any GPS satellite after waiting more than 10 minutes.

I re-connected to the PC and installed forcing the driver from Silicon Labs

The messages I get now are very rare

I broke soldering connectors you see in the picture. I can connect? Elsewhere? the GPS still works with the original cable. Try here (1st and 2nd pin from the top). Be careful not to touch the metal case (GND). alternative_diagram.jpg I have connected everything just as you have indicated. I instal...

Not sure if I understand the question, but if you are asking where did I get the VID/PID from without having the original module - I've found them in some files from AR.Drone's firmware.

This works like the original flight recorder? Never had the original one so can't really compare, but with this DIY recorder I was able to fly to a waypoint and do a RTH no problem using the FreeFlight app. Did not try to fly with the qGroundControl yet, but I can see the GPS data being passed to t...
