Re: New 808#18 keychain cam test

Best place I found was under the drone near the back of the black plate. Seems like less vibration and jello effect. Do you have a pic of your mount on the drone? I mounted a #18 to the top of the outdoor hull using velcro. That area created a jello effect in the video. I was then considering putti...

Re: Model 808 #16 Car Key Camera Worth Getting As Seperate C

Here is my first test of the 808-16. I did have it pointed down a little too much. this was before I balanced props.

Re: Automatic altitude control and AR Drone 2.0

This has nothing todo with pitch/roll. Do you guys fly outside over none concrete? The 1.0 cant handle that, it drops out of the sky when fore example leaving a hard roof and going over to soft grass because it cant read the altitude over soft material like grass with its crap ultasonic sensors.. A...

Re: weather

All flight surfaces (wings and props) perform worse in heat. Think air density. Hot air causes the molecules to expand. I visualize it as less needed oxygen molecules per cubic cm. Cold air is more dense and the surfaces perform better needing less power. However cold is really hard on electrical mo...

Looks like a great deal and fun. However in the video I'm not sure they ever have it under full control. I wonder if it is stable enough to hover?

Re: AR drone landing Gear made using adhensive scratch prote

Nope... wont fit... the way the insert is designed for the feet to slip right into the form would be a problem... the drone needs to sit all the way down in that case... it doesn't have any extra room Just reconfigure the box for the drone to set upside down and let the zip ties deflect when the li...

Re: Downward Cam Drone 2.0

I don't know much about modding electronics, but the new 808 #18 key chain cam has a replaceable camera. Picture shows a small thin ribbon, but I'll bet somebody could figure out a jumper or adapter or something to put that awesome camera in the drone.

Re: Do you think it could work?

I tried to fly with the iPhone mounted on my drone 1 with Mac Mod.
Really heavy and clunky and just auto landed after about a 30 second struggle.
ALSO, The Mac Mod hasn't worked since. I suspect the proximity of the iPhone transmitter may have messed the electronics. Haven't checked it yet.

Re: Need Repair tip for broken Camera ribbon clip

I had the same problem, but was able to make the broken clip hold with a touch of silicone cement.
I think the clip just acts as a type of wedge that holds by friction. I would try to use a slim plastic wedge to hold the ribbon in place. Maybe with a touch of glue.

Re: AR drone landing Gear made using adhensive scratch prote

Great call... pogo stick is a perfect example of uniform deceleration over time... and an exact replica of struts used on a car to absorb violent shock from potholes etc... now we just need to invent some "pogo stick landing gear" that doesn't weigh more than a gram each and we got the solution to ...

Are you touching the round circle on the left of the controller when you tilt the phone? Simple but some people miss that part of the instructions.

Re: Has there been any development of an sftermarket gear sh

Related to this topic, my question is: Does anyone have a reliable way of bending bent pins back in shape.? Just a thought. Back in the early ultralight days, we straightened "slightly" bowed tubing by driving it thru a stronger larger tube of the perfect inside radius. I wonder if we could drill a...

Re: Balanced my props this morning...wow

Here's a simple one that will get you real close... if you keep tapping on the box sending vibration thru the metal rod the prop will always show the heavy side http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=plpp&v=fSC4pD8DBvs#/watch?v=fSC4pD8DBvs Nice and easy way to find the balance, but the tape is not a ve...
