Re: DJI 450 drone

I'm unsure really, people use Hex's for better stability when mounting GoPro's and other camera's,my personal choice would be the 450, it will be more nimble and better for acro, if you ever decide to go for some flips, Quads are really to fly and iv'e had no previous experience in RC and to be hone...

Re: DJI 450 drone

Iv'e just built my first Quad and still own two 1.0 Drones, i'm finding my Quad much more fun though, although the Drone's are good and much easier to control, i like the feeling that it's me who's actually flying and i only get that with my quad. My thread is a few post's down i used the Turnigy Ta...

Re: Testing the water

It's alright saying a range of 1-2 miles but you'd need a much bigger battery to get the flight time for that, and i personally wouldn't fly a 300g Drone 2 miles away.

Re: A Noob wanting to build his own Quad.(Now Built)

Well i finally broke an Arm on my Quad :| i knew it would happen eventually so wasn't too disappointing, i thought i'd actually break more props than just two up to now, but never mind. it was more how it broke that annoyed me i didn't even crash it, it just bounced very lightly on the floor, as you...

Re: Where can I get decals?!

Where can I purchase AR.Drone decals? :?: I've searched Google and Bing...no luck. I'd like to have some in both black and white. I'm looking for both the logo and the text. I've seen them on some of your Drones, but I have no idea how and where you're getting them! :!: Help me out!? You mea...

Re: A Noob wanting to build his own Quad.(Now Built)

Yeah i guess your right about it being overkill but i'm just going to roll with it for now and, i can always put in a module at a later date as the Drone mod is on hold while i build the 450.... well when i build it :)

I'll have another look on the spec sheet as well ;)

Re: A Noob wanting to build his own Quad.(Now Built)

I went for the DHT route as it allows me to swap modules so I can still easily use the T9x for the ardrone, which won't work with the internal unit unless you put a switch in somewhere, or are you not going to do the mod? Choosing motors is always difficult, you want lots of power but not unnecessa...

Re: A Noob wanting to build his own Quad.(Now Built)

Yes they probably are plastic but for $11 for 4 it might be worth just getting one even if its just for emergency's, plastic's better than nothing i guess, plus then there's a spare center plate if it's ever needed. But i haven't even got my frame yet  well iv'e just this minute been out on the...

Re: A Noob wanting to build his own Quad.(Now Built)

All i was told is that the cheap $11 frame from HK - http://i46.tinypic.com/10rq1ck.jpg the arms would fit the RM450 from rc-timer - http://i46.tinypic.com/5l8295.jpg They look very similar to me, i know they both use slightly different screws but i'd say they look a match? could be wrong though, bu...

Halloween Quad - Mint;o)

Sorry it's not Drone related but we've all seen the Flying Cat but these Ghostly Quads are fantastic, and having just built my first Quad it sure gave me ideas for next Halloween.

Happy Halloween and Enjoy!
