I just recieved a mirumod and binding it to the drone and it flew for a moment until the mod disconnected. I was told i possibly fried the serial port so I got a new mod and a new drone. I can not get anything to work on the new set up. it says its binded. two red lights on the mirumod that are solid and one flashing green light. main board light is green and all props twitch. wifi works fine. Any ideas?

Your serial connector got fried because the mod was not well secured.

Can you be a little more specific? What exactly is happening? Has it worked before?

I'm from italy, and I'm thinking to buy your mirumod version. But I also have to buy a new radiocontroller. Which controller do you suggest to buy ?
I don't want to spend a lot of money, I find a chepear one : maybe turnigy 9x ?

You can use the Turnigy 9x but for the same price you can get the Hobby King Orange T-Six transmitter.

- In which way I can install the receiver on the mirumod ? is it simple ?
- The mirumod doesn't use gps to stabilize the parrot right ? For do this I have to buy original gps ?

6 channel is more then enough for the mod.
As far as setting up, the Orange T-Six is very easy to setup compared to the Turnigy 9x.
This would help with the shipping cost as the order will be combined.
You don't need a receiver because it is built into the mod.
The GPS is only to record flight plot way point and return to home. GPS has nothing to do with stability.
Also, shipping to Italy would be express with tracking number.

when i will buy your mod from ebay i have to tell you which tx I will use (turnigy or Orange ) because in this way your mod will have the correct receiver ?

My thanks once again for the super speedy shipping of my AR Drone 2.0 Mirumod XR-4Drone Plug & Play Kit with Devo 7e and thanks for sorting out the replacement grip tis much appreciated.

I would really like to learn and fully understand exactly what I'm working with but I am a total noob to this so I found a few terms that to me were confusing

1) After the binding procedure is complete, you will need to configure your TX for flight in Acro mode I was also unsure which menu I would need to be in for this. - I appreciate I would not have to do this being plug and play but I would love to understand the method for my own knowledge.

2) Trainer button - Was not sure where/what this is.#

3) Button and Stick layout - I could not see where I could find this ?

I really rate your product/service and I am keen to get to grips with the whole system so any advice or pointers would be warmly welcommed so I can be less of a noob and able to get the maximum out of the xr-4 setup.

Hey Brian,

You don't need to follow those instructions because you purchased a plug and play kit. The mod is already bound to the transmitter.

Hi Dante1,

I am a total noob at this and am hoping that you can help me with my setup, I purchased a Turnigy RX from you a little while ago now and am now trying to get it working in setup mode.

1) When I first received the mod I managed to bind it with the TX - So it communicates fine and over USB I can see what is being received.
2) When I use the controls on the TX I am getting the following values:
Left stick vertical = Elev
Left stick horizontal = Rudd
Right Stick vertical = Aile
Right Stick horizontal = Thro
I am wanting mode 2, but can't seem to get that?
3) When I set the TX for reverse on a channel it still won't reverse and up is still negative (e.g. Elev)?
4) I have tried uploading the DX6i Rev .022 to fix these issues, but nothing seems to change

Are you able to point me in the right direction?

I think you are the one I purchased my Mirumod XR4 on ebay from. I sent you a ebay message but found this forum and thought I would post in a couple of places. I only bought the RX Mod from you for $80 because I had a friend who has a couple of TX's We tried his Spektrum DX8 and followed the instructions in the manual and got it to work. I still needed my own TX so he sold me his DEVO 7E brand new still in the box. I figured sinde that was the one you had in your complete kit add on ebay, it should work. Well as you probably know it comes with the DeVention menu format. I went to YouTube to see how to Bind cuz I couldn't find out how in the DEVO manual. When I watch a Binding video on YouTube using the DEVO 7E, his menu came up XR-4Drone. Binfing looked easy using that. After researching and reading all over the place I found this forum. From what I gather I have to somehow get into my DEVO 7E your XR-4 (what do you call it? ) a sketch or Fireware? How can I go about doing that and can you help? Is it going to be too hard for a complete newbie?
