Make sure you have no other network connections on your PC so 192.168.1.1 refers to Drone, not to some other device in your network (made that mistake previously and was wondering why it doesn't work)

Will any of the Forums vendors be selling the GPS when it's released?

does anyone know if the Return Home kicks in automatically if the wifi signal is dropped or the battery gets dangerously low?

I guess that should read 'stock' :-)

Do I win the free GPS module for spotting the deliberate error?

You i-Drone chaps are too kind, but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I accepted your offer :-)

I'll order a GPS module from you in the near future.

Nige, fantastic news!

I'd be interested to know what happens if you send the Drone to a point beyond wifi coverage. Will it just stop and wait to be called home? Does it stop BEFORE it goes out of range so that you can call it back, or do you need to get closer to re-establish contact?

Also, when you tell it to come home, does it hold altitude to the home overhead then descend, or does it descend on the way back?

Yeah GPS :)

For some reason my girlfriend isn't too happy with the thought of me going out and trying it this late in the evening, (gps should mean night flying is more stable)

will try going out of range and the return home, see what it does.
there was talk of the return home following its flight path to where it had gotten to. But the engineer i was talking to didn't think it would make it to the final build
weather forecast for tomorrow is ridiculous wind :( but might try anyway.
Unit feels a little sturdier and heaver than the one we had at the gadget show, in my living room it got a gps lock with 20m accuracy so outside it should be pretty accurate.

its a squeeze but it does all fit inside the shell.
pics will follow but i need sleep, testing day tomorrow :D

Now thinking I should have got the 3G ipad mini, when in GPS map view I have no Internet to show a map.

Included a shot of the software and hardware versions. Interesting to note that even with the GPS module plugged in you still cannot access the button top left until it has satellite lock
