Like anyone will be paying that, I can get 5 Nano Techs delivered to my door for that price, crazy.

As Parrot increases charge capacity they are also increasing charge time.
When you are out flying, who wants to wait that long?

I charge my battery's in my car (jeep).

Wow! That price is ridiculous.

I don't even want to deal with charging on the fly. I run with 4 aftermarket batteries that give me 65-75 minutes of flight time. That's good to go for me.

It's just been reduced to £49.99, that'll make a difference.

Can you please advise as to exactly which Nanotechs you are using. There are so many battery options I have been reading about I am thoroughly confused (and I don't even have my drone yet, it's on the way!!). Do you use an adapter to modify the battery connector on the drone end or just cut and solder on a new mini-tamiya onto the battery itself?

It's a good battery and I've seen a few with it. I ordered the Male XT60-Female Mini Tamiya adapters with it. I didn't plan on using it but 3 are only a few bucks. Kind of a pain in the ass to use and extra wire to jam in the hull. I choose to replace the stock plug with XT-60 as I don't plan on using or buying any more Parrot batts. Doing so(changing the plug) voids warranty so you know. Less wire, weight and just plug it in. 3rd option as you suggest. If you know how to solder and take precautions(nothing crazy btw) changing the plug to mini tamiya female works. Easy. If you are not comfortable doing that and live in the U.S. or Canada, then I'd say buy it from Garrock as he changes the plug to Mini Tamiya. It's twice the price but with shipping costs from and delivery times from HobbyKing, plus adding the adapter or changing the plugs, it's worth it imo. It's still half the price of the Parrot and far better battery. Longer flight times and more punch when you move.
The power curves for the Nano and Parrot are completely opposite, the Nano tech stays at near %100 percent for 2 mins or so for me, but when you hit 40% you better be looking for a landing spot because you have maybe 2mins. It just drops of a cliff! The Parrot starts dropping immediately but has a more gradual decline and end. I'm guessing Parrot did that on purpose to allow more margin to land. I have only the one Nano and Parrot so it's not the definitive info. Here are a couple of pics to give you an idea. The parrot was during flight and the Nano hover but it's makes no diff to the curve. I have a Zippy C 1000mah and it's curve is very simliar to Nano. I'll take either of those as the Parrot has no balls.

Thanks for the info .... what confuses me is (for example) there is also a 1300.3S.45-90. Many people seem to be using that one vs. the 1300.3S.25. Does it matter?

The "45-90" figure" is likely to do with the discharge rate (constant, and burst), a.k.a the "C rating". 1C for a 1000mah battery is 1 amp, or for a 1300mah battery it's 1.3 amps. If it's a nano tech battery, I don't think you will have any problems so long as it's wired up correctly, they'll pretty much all be better with the stock Parrot ones I imagine. As a rough illustration (not particularly accurate), if the drone consumes 1000mah in 10 minutes, it's only averaging 6 amps (6C on a 1000mah battery).

People will of course think "bigger numbers = better", and to some extent that's true - you're likely to see less voltage drop when the current draw stays low relative to what the battery is designed for. But the drone's requirements are not particularly strenuous, so I think you'll be fine with almost any modern lipo. In theory ;)

Just my 2p.

I'd agree with Kyrt. Although 1C is the charging rate and not the discharge rate. The higher C the more punch, as it means more current when called for. The Parrot is 10C, try and find any aftermarket batteries that low for flying. Transmitter packs are like that but there's no need for lots of current at different times so that works in that case. So 20-40C is the range most batts are and fine for the drone. I'd not bother with the other one as I doubt it would make much if any difference except to your wallet
