Now that absolute control is back on the Parrot app when do you expect to have it reimplemented for US customers?

Hello Miami,

I can't comment Parrot's move on that one but at least for me the situation is still the same and nothing at all did change. Do not expect absolute control in my app in the US.

Hello,

until now, there is no api or documentation. It looks like Parrot even pulled the last SDK without a comment.

For Drone Control US - Version 2.6 is available:

Added autonomous flight. You are now able to track the hulls, stickers and other targets. Tons of fun!

When toggling smooth stabilization with the SELECT button on your 60 Beat Game Pad you can see a feedback message on the screen.

iOS versions below 5.0 are no longer supported.

Hi Tommy, not sure if you have seen, looks like Paparazzi figured out the GPS navdata:
http://www.ardrone-flyers.com/forum/vie ... f=8&t=6563" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There's still the control aspect though - haven't seen anyone post any info about this. I'm not sure if Paparazzi uses this or not, I know it can operate in "SDK mode" but it probably just uses the standard movement commands.

I have my drone back now, if I get time between my other projects maybe I'll do some logging to find out how the navigation works. You could always implement it in MAVLink, but reports so far aren't too glowing about how it works in qGroundControl.

Please note: the 60Beat Gamepad controller uses the microphone to communicate with your device. When using Drone Control US with iOS 7 and it asks you about accessing the microphone - you have to allow access, otherwise the 60Beat Gamepad will not work.

Update 2.6.1 is live:

*Fixes a bug that prevented the youtube videos to play.

*Fixes a bug that forced the control mode to "RC Mode 2" after unplugging the 60Beat controller or after deactivating autonomous flight.

Update 2.7 is live:

Support for the new iOS7 MFI gamepad controllers. You will have the best experience using "extended layout" controllers. (With 2 additional analog sticks) There is an example video in this thread: http://www.ardrone-flyers.com/forum/vie ... =43&t=7736

Fixes a bug which could cause the app to appear unresponsive or even crash in certain situations.

Fixes an issue with the length of some "did you know" hints.

Pairing to the MAC address is no longer supported in the latest AR.Drone firmware(s). It looks like Parrot removed the option silently and since pairing with an unsuported firmware version results in a "control link not available" error, I had to remove the option also. You can always reset your AR.Drone to unpair the device.

This version allows you to get rid of the emergency button. Please consider this as a pro feature! Disabling the emergency button is not recommended. Also note that, if your AR.Drone goes crazy for whatever reason you can grab it carefully and turn it upside down, it will shut off the motors immediately.

The location field in the navigation data file will be prefilled on the basis of your current GPS position. You can still edit it afterwards.

iOS 7 conformance.
