plug the usb cable in, then the battery. finally check your device manager for the P6 device. never fails when this happens it's not seeing the drivers for some reason.

Make sure you have seen both two drivers prompted and installed:
a) "P6 USB Stage1"
b) "Gadget Serial v2.4"

Keep eyes on the bottom righ of your PC screen while doing USB flash --- You'll see driver prompts there.
Just as mf25053 said, check your PC Device Manager for the P6 devices.

Note, driver "Gadget Serial v2.4" is only prompted during the running of usb_flash.exe:
After INSTALLER installed and running on AR.Drone over USB, it turns AR.Drone from USB device "P6 USB Stage1" into another USB device "Gadget Serial v2.4", thus new driver is prompted on-the-fly.

namith, you need to pay attention to driver a) "P6 USB Stage1". Check your USB cable and connection if you are not able to see new USB device showed in your PC Device Manager.

my P6 USB Stage1 is connected, but my wings dont light up until i connect battery, but when I run usb_flash i never get Gadget Serial v2.4, and i get the

errors... Could this be faulty usb connection? It shows up in device manager as P6 USB Stage1, so I don't see how that could be?

I am using firmware 1.6.6

Hello,
*** This is my first post, I hope the format will be right ***
First thank you all for the explanations and pictures to describe in details the flashing procedure.
Following the procedure I first connected the drone to the pc by using the USB cable described before in this thread, then connected the drone battery.
Then when prompted, I could install the P6 USB Stage 1 driver and got the Gadget Serial v2.4 ready from
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/ ... 26e81e2d16" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
When I ran usb_flash, evrything went fine until the "FIRMWARE INSTALLATION" part: after the usb connection is closed, if my understanding is correct, there should be a prompt to install the "Gadget Serial v2.4".
I heard the sound notification of the usb device getting unplugged and re-plugged and the device manager updating its devices list, however there was no prompt and the device "P6 USB Stage 1" reappeared in the device manager.
Then I got an error message "usb_bulk_write failed".
Any suggestion ?

Please find below the details of the text capture of the execution of the usb_flash

Thanks in advance!
