What a bummer

I just ordered one of these gadgets (a Version 2).

I think I'll cancel my order. Hope I'm not too late.

Back to the Trex.

I never liked my iphone or ipad much anyway.

Everytime I hook up that stupid itunes, it deletes all my music and scrambles my icons. Has to be the worst software interface ever written.

Live & learn I guess.

Hey AR Tommy, Drone Control is really cool, thanks. Any way the video can be full screen, or at least bigger?

Don't be to hasty to cancel. You can always get Drone Control from Tommy. It's better than Free Flight and you get his support with it. Something Parrot is lacking. I don't use Free Flight since I bought Drone Control, can't go wrong for $6. There's also Drone Ace which is supposed to be pretty good as well. Both of these apps can be used with joystick controllers. Jailbreak required with Drone Control but then you can use a Dualshock controller, there's a thread for that. Drone Ace uses the 60 Beat controller,no jailbreak, just plug it into headphone jack.
Others have pointed out that there's a good chance Free Flight will be back anyway,I'd expect that to be the case once they work out whatever the issue is for the pull.

I just realised I have FreeFlight 2 on my Ipad. I downloaded it months ago.

Is there any way I can get a copy of that over to my iPhone ?

BF :)

Try itunes. I know when my gf's daughter downloads another 20 kitten apps for her ipad2, they show up my iphone and that's without either device plugged into the mac. The ipad is under my itunes account. If you sync your ipad to itunes I don't see why you can't then plug your phone in and add Free Flight to it.

I guess you are referring to Drone Control HD, which is only for the iPad. The smaller video screen is there on purpose. Drone Control uses a full screen video feed on the iPad and iPhone.

If the official App got pulled for "spying"/security issues, no doubt the 3rd party apps will follow at some point.

Damn, where did you read that? Who's definition of security spying/security I wonder as this wasn't issue until just recently. If that's the case Apple had better pull all the apps and stop selling the drone. Doesn't make sense. I just went to the app store and no changes. So I guess the cops will be showing up at the door next. Thanks for the info!

Lesodell, because Drone Control HD has this cockpit view like HUD. Please see this thread for an overview: http://www.ardrone-flyers.com/forum/vie ... =43&t=4457" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you need the full screen video feed, go for Drone Control.

Source? If it is only an opinion, that is fine, but please state it as an opinion.

Its my opinion, but I think the app got pulled pretty soon after this: Drone at NYC airport, (same week app got pulled) - http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/03/06 ... k-airport/

This incident sparked a large scale FBI investigation to identify the drone.

Mind you, this was obviously not an AR Drone, but there was hundreds of news stories after about hobby drones becoming popular and cheap. https://www.google.com/news?&q=drone+ai ... lish&hl=en

Just a theory.

sounds like an opinion to me, as he said 'if'

Parrot have told everyone to go with AR Race which is still available:

Pretty serious stuff for Parrot though! They pretty much rely on Apple to offer freeflight! Will be keeping my eyes posted to see what happens.
