Awesome. Might be worth organising a flight out in Richmond park or somewhere similar. I don't think central London is worth it. Maybe the grafitti tunnel at Waterloo.

I'm soooo tempted if the weather holds out to go flying around Richmond Park. Will have to be early before the roads are swamped due to the rugby down the road.

Bah. Looks like Richmond Park might not be easy to just walk in and fly. There are kite zones for flying which I can assume are strong windy areas and secondly, you need to organise it all. Looks like I will give them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

central london has some amazing spots to fly in, just avoid the tourist areas and working hours, I find built up areas with obsticals more interesting than a parks.

Resurrecting this topic, as I am in South London and would love to meet up for a fly, especially at the Graffiti tunnel. What do you all say folks?

I'm just north of Enfield, maybe able to run some sort of competition? I was thinking of doing that in the summer, with prizes etc?
What do you think?

Sounds great! Should give me some time to practice my flying skillz!

I might have to make my way up to you when the student loan comes in, rather than waiting for the postman :D

[strike]What is the closest rail connection?[/strike]

Just figured that out and found that it is cheap and doesn't take too long from where I am. :ugeek:

P.S. boo that strikethrough doesn't seem to work on the forum ( I have tried various implementations). :(

I'm in Finchley. The only place I've been outside my own narrow garden is the Hampstead Heath Annex (Wildwood Road) where there is a love flat Sunday league type football pitch and surrounds. Never very busy except when they are playing.

Happy to travel of a weekend (other life stuff allowing) if anyone has suggestions.
